Convocation ceremony held

Manipur Forest Training School (MFTS), Forest Department, Government of Manipur organised the Convocation of 20th Batch Foresters’ and 50th Batch Forest Guards’ Training Course, 2021-22, at MFTS, Luwangshangbam today.
Present in the function were Th. Biswajit Singh, Minister, Forest and Environment as Chief Guest, M.H. Khan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment & Climate Change as Guest of Honour and S.S Chhabra, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forests Force as President of the Function.
Laishram Gitla, MFS, Director, Manipur Forest Training School presented the Director’s Report. She remarked that it is an epic achievement in the history of Manipur Forest Department to successfully train 192 Forest Guard Trainees in one session and also 69 Forester Trainees in one session.
For Forest Guards, 192 Trainees have successfully passed out of which 89 Trainees got distinction, 82 Trainees got Honours and 19 Trainees got Passed Certificated. For Foresters, 69 Trainees successfully passed the training, out of which 6 Trainees got Distinction, 60 Trainees got Honours and 3 Trainees got Passed Certificates. Athipro K Kayina topped Foresters’ Training Course and Rajkumar Prithviraj Singh topped the Forest Guards’ Training Course. Due to the current law and order situation, trainees from Churachandpur Forest Division, Kangpokpi Forest Division, Pherzawl Forest Division, Chandel Forest Division and Tengnoupal Forest Division were also present through online mode. Later on vote of thanks was proposed by Hijam Martin Luwang, Instructor/ Range Forest Officer, Manipur Forest Training School.
