Imphal, June 27:

The Challengers Youth of Khundrakpam has convened a press conference today at 3:00 PM to rally support for the upcoming public demonstration organized by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), scheduled for June 28.
COCOMI’s rally focuses on crucial demands, including the deportation of illegal immigrants, the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, and the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Additionally, the rally advocates for the inclusion of Manipur in the Scheduled Tribes list.
Addressing the media, James Leishangthem, a youth leader of Challengers Youth of Khundrakpam has called upon local residents of Khundrakpam constituency to actively participate in the rally. They also urged Members of Parliament to support these demands and champion the issues in the Parliament session.
“Our fellow youths and residents of Khundrakpam constituency must join us in large numbers to show solidarity. We urge our MPs to fully endorse these demands and ensure they are given due attention in Parliament,” he stated.
Highlighting the importance of political unity, the youth leaders emphasized the need for collaboration among leaders from both ruling and opposition parties to find a political resolution to the year-long crisis plaguing Manipur.
“Instead of fostering political divisions, our leaders must unite in seeking a political solution to the ongoing crisis,” the Spokesperson asserted.
