Brinda demands review of SoO agreement; urges to check militants designated camps

Supercop turns politician Thounaojam Brinda today demanded review of the contents of the Suspension of Agreement (SoO) signed between the Kuki militants and Government.
The Supercop turns politician who was vocal in almost every issue spoke for the first time to media to the ongoing conflict in the state which enters 54 days today. Brinda’s son left for heavenly abode on June 6 after suffering from an illness for a long time.
In the meeting with the media persons today afternoon at her residence at Yaiskul, Brinda said that she had declared in 2020 through a National media about the emergence of the Narco -terrorism in the state. In 2021 too she had once more re-iterated about the Narco-terrorism in the state.
“The ongoing war are orchestrated by the drug cartel”, Brinda said adding that the ring of the drug cartel includes State Assembly and extended till the parliament of India and it may reach out to China and Myanmar” Brinda said.
She said that when the central forces are deployed at almost all places of the state and there are police outpost and administration why no actions have been taken up against the Poppy planters who have been cultivating Poppy in front of their nose. This means that those government forces and administrators are involved in the poppy plantation which also means they are part of the drug cartel.
Brinda further demanded for checking of the designated camps of the Kuki militants under the suspension of operation. She also appealed for detention of the Satellite militants established by the Kuki militants.
