Brinda announces to contest election, Police foils election rally

Police foils an election rally organized by Th. Brinda on the ground that the organizer did not have any permission from the District administration.
Th. Brinda, the controversial MPS officer, who had declared to contest in the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly Election today organized an election rally with 100s of her supporters. The rally started from her residence at Yaiskul Janmasthan here in Imphal at around noon today. As soon as she along with her supporters came out of her residence, large number of police force stopped them saying that they don’t have permission to organize the rally.
Brinda had a heated argument with the police saying that it is her right to organize the rally. However, police demanded the copy of permission from the DC for organizing the rally. As the DC did not give any permission the police force those to return back.
Earlier Brinda and her supporters were planning to organized a bike rally but have to be cancel as the District administration did not give them permission.
