ATSUM calls indefinite economic blockade from June 22 midnight

Imphal, June 21: The All tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) has called indefinite economic blockade at both the National High Ways intensifying the ongoing agitations demanding various demands including regularization of 286 Hills contract lecturers and 333 Adhoc teachers, Setting up of Schedule Tribe Commission, filling of ST reservation bag lock at JNIMS and Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Bifurcation of power to Additional director (Hills), Education (S) and Complete transfer of Land records, which are still in the custody of Valley district to their respective hill districts.
The ATSUM also called to stop all National projects being underway in Hill areas.
