Arms and ammunition recovered; 6 bunkers dismantled

Cordon and search operations were conducted in three different locations at Sanjenbam Khullen, Goura Nagar, and Terakhong village under Lamlai Police Station of Imphal East district by combined teams of District Police Imphal East, Special CDO Khabeisoi, 8 IRB, 7 MR, One E Company of 86 CRPF, columns of  1/3 GR and 4 AR led by Additional SP /IE Operation Kh. Herojit Singh under the command of SP/IE Dr. S. Ibomcha from 3.30 AM till Noon. They were led by Additional SP /IE Operation Kh. Herojit Singh and supervised by IGP Zone-1, DIG Range-1, and Commander, Indian Army.
The teams divided into multiple groups to simultaneously comb through the three villages, Sanjenbam Khullen-Gouranagar-Terakhong, and recovered One 3o3 Rifle with an empty magazine, one SMG  carbine with an empty magazine, one AK MA-3 MK II with 1 empty magazine, One 9mm Pistol with an empty magazine, 20 nos. of 36 HE Grenades without detonators, One empty AK 47 magazine, Two empty INSAS magazine, One empty INSAS LMG magazine, and One empty M16 magazine.
All recovered items have been handed over to Lamlai Police Station for further legal processing. The large-scale, coordinated search operation was conducted to locate any illegal weapons or materials in the area.
A combined team of Central and State security forces dismantled six bunkers and seized various arms and ammunition in Sanjenlok Hilltop and Eshingthembi Hilltop today.
It is reported that four bunkers were found built on Sanjenlok hilltop marked as “MARK” bunkers and two bunkers were built on Esingthembi hilltop. The security forces recovered one . 2 Rifle with empty Magazine, two 9 mm Pistols with two empty Magazines, one Pistol with empty magazines, one SMG carbine with empty magazines, two INSAS empty Magazines, one empty SLR Magazine, one Rifle, thirty-four AK47 empty Shell, six GREN 80WP MK-1 with 6(six) Detonators, fourteen 36 HE Grenades, fifteen Tube Launchers, six HD cartridges, and one mortar shell.
