Troops of Assam Rifles apprehended 4 activists of different underground outfit in various counter insurgency operation. According to a press statement, troops of 16 AR apprehended a cadre of KCP (MTF) and KCP (MC) on August 18. The apprehendee was identified as Roman Meitei, aged 23 yrs, S/o Inaobi Meitei, resident of village Lamlai Chalou, P/O Lamlong, P/S Lamlai, Dist Imphal East . One Hero Honda Motor Cycle Bering No- MN 04 B 6769 was recovered from his possession. The apprehendee along with the recovered item has been handed over to the Lamlai police station.In another incident, troops of the 9 Assam Rifles apprehended one over ground worker of KCP (N) on August 18 from area Pangal Basti area. The apprehendee was identified as Md Ayayuddin Khan alias Baboy, aged 20 yrs, S/o Md Jamaluddin Khan, resident of village Lilong Harorabi Awang Leikai, PO/PS Lilong, Dist Thoubal. The apprehendee alongwith the recovered items has been handed over to the Imphal West police station. At another counter insurgency operation, troops of 22 Assam Rifles apprehended one PLA cadre on August 19 from Kakching Market area . The apprehendee was identified as Ninthambam Suresh Singh alias William alias John, resident of village Sabal Tongbam Namang Leikai, Dist Thoubal. The apprehendee was handed over to the Kakching Police Station.
