5 days awareness workshop on “ e- waste management” inaugurated

CCpur, May 2 : 5(Five) Days Awareness Workshop on “E- WASTE MANAGEMENT “organized by NIELIT Imphal was inaugurated yesterday at Churachandpur Government College.
The Inauguration programme was graced by  R.Sudhan IAS Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur District,  Ricky Vanlallawm, Principle of Churachandpur Govt.College and  Th. Prameshwor Singh, Executive Direction NIELIET Imphal as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and president respectively.
Speaking on the inaugural function, Shri R.Sudhan emphasized the importance of disposing the waste Gadgets and Electronic property. Every household have e-waste,even out here in Churachandpur, many people use Electronic goods so we need to be awared of how to re-cycle our e-waste product. He hope and said that the Workshop will bring good impact in the near future.
 Ricky Vanlallawm mentioned the value of re-cycling of waste product by taking the example of the Japanese ways of re-cycling of the skin of sugar-cane into an useful material in place of just throwing away as most of us practice.
Presiding over the function,  Th. Prameshore Singh mentioned the danger of disposing e-waste product and said that we should not mixed dumping e-waste and domestic product together in the dust-bin.
Dumping e- waste product to our plantation field or kitchen garden and by consuming the products of such crops and plants causes toxic for health and hazardous for human beings, he added.
The inaugural function was attended by about 50 Govt. Employees . The technical session was started instantly after the inaugural function under the topic “ Introduction to e-waste and its composition”.
