109 Bn CRPF observes Intl Yoga Day

On 21st June, 109 Bn CRPF observed International Yoga Day at Bn Hqr, Mongsangei. The function was presided over by Shri Vinod Kumar, Commandant and attended by officers and more than 100 personnel of 109 Bn CRPF.
Shri Vinod Kumar, Commandant stated that on 21st June ‘International Yoga Day’ is being celebrated all over the world. A proposal was made by the current Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi to the United Nations in this regard and UNO decided to celebrate International Yoga day on 21st June every year.
Yoga is known for its amazing health benefits. Yoga enables the unity of mind, body and soul. Different forms of Yoga benefit our physical, mental and spiritual health in different ways. International Yoga Day is celebrated to rejoice this unique earth. Inculcating Yoga in our daily lives can bring about a positive change in our life. If offers a great relief to our otherwise stressful lives.
