Husband alleges assault by his wife’s family members

A husband was allegedly beaten by his wife’s family members while trying to enquire about his wife’s whereabouts. Laishram Kajal (22) d/o. Laishram Rajen Singh and wife of Moirangthem Rabi Singh of Khangabok Awang Leikai reportedly left her husband on June 21, 2013 without informing him. In a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Rabi said that his wife’s family members told him that Kajal had gone to a hospital for her grandmother’s illness on the following day. But again after three days he was told that Kajal was sent to Pune for three months physiotherapy training. Rabi further said that when he went to enquire about his wife after three months he was assaulted by her family members. He appealed to the concerned organisations to help him on the matter.
