Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has voiced strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for responsible and secure use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), underscoring the significance of cyber security in the digital age.
Taking to the microblogging platform X, CM Biren Singh emphasized the necessity for AI to be transparent, secure, accessible, and responsible, mirroring PM Modi’s stance on the issue. He posted, “PM Narendra Modi raised the importance of cyber security in regard to our reliance on the use of technology, during the G7 Outreach Session on AI and Energy, Africa and Mediterranean. As pointed out by Hon’ble PM, Shri Narendra Modi ji, AI must remain transparent, secure, accessible and responsible.”
PM Modi’s remarks came during the G7 Outreach Session on AI and Energy, Africa, and Mediterranean held on June 14. In his address, PM Modi highlighted the extensive use of technology for human advancement and underscored the critical need for robust cyber security measures as technology becomes increasingly integral to various facets of life.
PM Modi stressed the importance of ensuring AI’s transparency, security, accessibility, and responsibility, noting India’s strategic efforts to harness AI for its developmental objectives.
