Imphal, June 10:

Assam Rifles has successfully rescued stranded individuals in Jiribam amidst ongoing turmoil, according to a statement released by the security forces.
On June 9, Assam Rifles, deployed for internal security duties, were returning from a patrol in Borobekra when they received a distress call. A couple and their two children were trapped in Leisabithol village after their house had been burned down by unknown miscreants several days earlier.
Reacting promptly, Assam Rifles swiftly evacuated the family. During their return, their vehicles were stopped near Uchathol village by a group of women seeking information about the rescued individuals. The troops contacted Jiribam police officials, who soon arrived and managed the situation.
Assam Rifles assured the local residents of their ongoing commitment to safety and urged them to avoid miscommunication in the future. The rescued family was safely transported to Bidyanagar Sports Stadium in Jiribam, where they received relief and support.
