Imphal, June 1:
Kakching District United Clubs’ Organisation (KADUCO), in collaboration with Kakching Range Thoubal Forest Division and under the aegis of the All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO), organized a tree plantation program in celebration of Environment Day. The event took place at Tangjeng Khunou Maning Ching in Kakching district.
Members from sister organizations of KADUCO, including Eight Star United Clubs’ Organisation (ESUCO) and Kha Maigei United Clubs’ Organisation (KHAMUCO), actively participated in the tree plantation initiative.
The event saw the attendance of several key figures: AMUCO Secretary Laishram Krishnachandra, Assistant Organisation Y. Inaocha, Th. Shantikumar, H. Shamu, Ch. Lukuma, Kakching Range Forest Officer Laishram Dinesh, Forest Beat Officer Pallel L. Rohit, Deputy Range Officer Wangoo N. Brojen, Beat Officer L. Ramananda, and other staff members. KADUCO President Th. Chaoba and General Secretary T. Lucky were also present at the event.
An AMUCO official reported that around 800 saplings were planted during the program. Following the tree plantation, an environmental awareness session was conducted to educate participants on the importance of preserving and protecting the environment.
