Security Forces prevented from conducting search operation in Churachandpur

Large number of women folks prevented a combined team of security forces led by a team of NIA in D. Phailien Village in Churachandpur district on Saturday midnight.
The women folk barricaded the security forces at several locations forcing them to retreat. No persons were arrested after a couple of hours of hectic impeding.
Many women folks were staying on the road monitoring security movement and preparing to block the security movement in Churachandpur district.
“Thousand of women folks jam-packed the road ready to sacrifice even their lives in spite of launching operation”, a source told Imphal Times adding that the security forces remain helpless with no orders to act from the higher ups.
It added that the leaders of the womenfolk told the security officers not to carry out search operations until they arrested the Meitei Radical Group. In fact, the security forces were not allowed to launch operations in Churachandpur district.
