Imphal, May 10: Manipur Students’ Federation (MSF) has closed down a pharmacy at Thangal Keithel, near Kastury Bridge here in Imphal today after it was found selling expired medicine.
In a press meet held today at MSF office today afternoon, General Secretary, W Wanglemba Khaba said that the student body received a complaint from one Konsam Ibomcha (40) about an expiry medicine (insulin) which he bought from a Pharmacy called Rishika Medicos, Thangal Keithel yesterday evening. Being a diabetic patient he injected the insulin as prescribed by doctor however, as he found himself in obnoxious condition he checked the medicine and found it to be expired. Later, today morning, he went again to the pharmacy to buy insulin and that too was found to be expired.
